Driving in Thick Fog
Fog can spread fast, and many drivers may often find themselves driving through thick fog, and it can actually be a rather scary experience, but it’s important to take it easy and not to panic.
When you approach a junction or a roundabout slow down so you can get the best possible view. You should even wind down your window to get a better view, while music should be turned off so you can listen out for any oncoming sounds.
When you’re driving in fog, make sure you keep a good distance away from the car ahead, and you can use the vehicle in front as a marker for the furthest point you can see. Always avoid overtaking in fog because you may see an oncoming car very late, possibly meaning you have no time to react.
Remember fog is dangerous, but it doesn’t have to be if you follow these pieces of advice.
