The uber cool Honda Civic Type R is getting a new update, with its launch at the Geneva Show next month.

The car which is said to reach a top speed of 167mph is “unrivalled in the world of front-wheel drive hot hatches”, Honda’s words, not ours!

Coming packed with a 2.0-litre VTEC turbo four-cylinder engine, this will be the first Type R model to feature forced induction. Otherwise known as a minimum power output of 285bhp.

Honda have also teased that the Civic’s rear spoiler will be generating downforce and will also feature a ‘completely flat’ underbody.

We have no idea about costs as of yet, we’re sure they will release all the information in March. Apparently there have already been 100 orders in the UK for the model, without a price point. So clearly, there must be indications it’ll be at a similar price point of the previous models.
