BMW Release Bulletproof X5

Made for public figures and risk-exposed individuals, German car manufacturer BMW have released their BMW X5 Security Plus model, which uses high-performance steel mouldings and panels.

The glass on the car has a polycarbonate coating on the inside, which can prevent flying splinters and the joints around the doors are sealed. They’ve also upgraded the chassis, ECU and brakes to deal with the additional weight.

BMW say that the bulletproof X5 offers protection against ‘violent assault, kidnapping and organised crime’ whilst also being able to take assault from an AK-47.  They also offer you the option to personalise the LED lights in the radiator grille, roof beacons or siren system.
