Choose Your Transmission
One thing people don’t realise is there is an option with what transmission you wish to drive. You can learn in both Automatic and Manual cars. If you learn in a Manual car, you can drive any car once you pass. However, if you learn in an automatic, you can only drive automatic cars. They are both good options to learn in, it depends on you and what you would prefer. Some people struggle with a manual so automatic is better.

Choosing An Instructor
Then you will need to do your research to choose an instructor to teach you. If your parents have been passed for over 3 years, they are able to teach you with their own car. However, it is best you learn with a professional instructor. Research and find someone who has availability and will offer the lessons you need.

Save Up!
Learning to drive is not cheap. You will need to have a decent amount of money saved to be able to afford everything to learn to drive. If you have purchased your own car to learn in, you will need money to cover learner insurance. You will also need money for your lessons, theory test, and driving test.
