Land Rover have released information on their range-topping, faster version of the Range Rover Sport, going by the name of the Range Rover SVR.

It’s 542bhp, weighs 502lb, but most importantly it can reach up to 162mph. The Range Rover Sport SVR can also reach 0-62mph within 4.7 seconds.

All the power reaches the four wheels via a ZF eight-speed automatic gearbox, which has reduced shift times by 50 per cent. There’s also a new front bumper, lots of SVR badges, a spoiler, quad exhaust pipes, a new win panel made of aluminium and 22in alloy wheels.

So how much are Land Rover charging for this beast of a car? £93,450 to be exact. Which works out to be a £12,000 premium on the V8 Range Rover Sport.
